Big Daddies Garage
A Proven Solution !
Challenger, Charger, SRT8
Performance Projects.
1.  Install an O2 simulator.
2. Go back to stock.
3.  Install a tune to shut off your  post cat o2 sensors.
Not hard... right, only three choices
                        Please Note:
(1) This Does Not Fix A Defective O2 Sensor, Wiring or Heater Circuits.
(2) No...O2 Sensor Is Included In This Offer.
(3) Designed For Post Cat Sensor ONLY.
(4) Intended For Competitive Modified Exhaust Use Only.
(5) Do Not Use To Remove Cel Caused By Faulty Catalytic Converter!
(6) It is the buyers responsiblility to check and verify Fitment and Clearance issues.

Well, going back to stock is not an option, at least not for 99.9 % of us. So you really only have two choices to clear these codes!

The preferred way is to get a tune to shut them down, expensive, but this is absolutly the best way to go. The only problem with a tune is sooner or later you have to take it off, and when you do, up pops the same p0420 / p0430 cel issues.

Installing just an O2 Simulator is fine. When you get the right O2 simulator it will work seamlessly with or without your tune. The problem is which one do you choose? You've Googled over and over again seaching for the right one, and times getting short. Maybe you already purchased some ebay trash or cheap carbon steel  spark plug non foulers someone is drilling out at home and selling, only to be dissapointed when they fail to fit or work.

We all have gone to the forums only to get more confused from comments from other people 99% of which only speculate on how O2 simulators work or in their opinion don't work. Forums are great places for helpfull information, it's just you have to filter out fact from fiction and advice from actual owner's that experiened and solved your problem from non owners that don't have a clue.

THESE CELS ARE THE MOST COMMON, YOU MAY EXPERIENSE ONE OR MORE

THE FRUSTRATION LEVEL CAN GET PRETTY HIGH...

JUST RELAX  AND THINK IT THRU.

Unless you have a top grade scan gauge, you may experience only one cel at a time. When you fix one cel, up pops another, but they are all relatively easy to solve and keep cleared.

p2096 / p2098
To put it simply, there is too much unmetered oxygen being detected, commonly called leaks. There's only three places you will have leaks, Your exhaust, Your Intake or Your Vacuum system.  They will be small, sometimes hard to detect, but they are there, just find them and fix them. Yeah, I know you checked it or your seasoned mechanic checked it and there's no leaks anywhere. Well here's what I have to tell you "Bullshit" if your throwing one or both of these cels you have leaks...find them, fix them and the cel's go away.

NOTE:  If you have a catch can Installed, it's very common to throw either both p2096/p2098 a single p2096 or single p2098 cel...

p0133 / p0153
You put the cel fixes on the front (pre-cat) sensors...remove them and put them on the rear (post cat) sensors as instructed.
                   What You Need To Do.

The most important thing to do is to keep a log of every change you make and I mean everything. We get emails everyday saying, I have a cel can you help, in so many words. We normally respond by asking for a complete background on the performance project, essentially what make, model, year, exactly what changes or mods have been made and what cel error codes in Pxxxx format are you throwing. We're going to be upfront with you, if we receive a mesage along the of " I have a check engine light which of your products do will get rid of it?" you're not going to get a reply. This type of message shows us you do not know what your doing and you cannot communicate the issues your having to us without numerous follow up questions.

First... using a good scan guage, scan your system and get all the dtc error codes in pxxxx format. Remember our products are for p0420 / p0430 cels.

Second... make a digital list of the make, model, year the changes & mods you've made, regardless of what it is.

Third... read the FAQ's below and do not ask questions that are answered there, we will not reply if the answer is there.

Fourth... If you still have questions, compose a message with the above information and send it to us.

Since 2007 we have been using a special highly modified combination of Angled and Mini cat cel fix to clear both the p0420 / p0430 cels on Challenger, Charger. SRT8 performance projects. When installing these Highly Modified versions of our universal cel fix products  we consistantly prevent p0420 / p0430 cels from returning on clean, properly installed performance projects. The Mini Cat ceramic cores are specially beefed up to absorb more heat for efficient operation and provide adequate surface to convert exhaust gases giving the sensors exactly what their looking for.

We use T304L Stainless Steel to distribute an retain consistant heat values on the gases and especially the ceramic core for adequate operation. T304L is virtually free of carbon steel preventing interior rust. RUST retains exhaust gas contaiminates around the sensors tip, you never want that to occur.

Big Daddies Garage has never had this modified combination fail to remove the p0420 / p0430 cels...NEVER.

Installation is exactly as shown in the picture directly above, the angled cel fix is installed with the supplied washer, positioned and locked down securely by tightening the nut.  The Mini Cat is then installed and tightened, The suppied washer taped to the top of the mini cat is added to the o2 sensor for a total of two washer's on the sensor, the sensor is screwed into the Mini Cat Cel Fix. Thats all there is to it!

Install one COMBO cel fix on each post cat sensor...NEVER ON THE PRE_CAT SENSORS!
